I put out insecticide this winter and it was supposed to treat fleas. Well now I'm in the middle of an infestation. Is there a do-it-yourself solution or should I just call a professional?

Also, will it help anything if my neighbors don't treat their yards or will these little bastards just jump back over here?

I use this twice a year and never have any problems with ants or fleas. I'm pretty sure neither of my neighbors treat since they do not have dogs.

I got one of those deals that attached to your hose. When I knew the offending neighbor was not home, I sprayed it across my fence into his bushes. Ended the fleas for the rest of our time at that house.

Stinkbait I am guessing you actually have dogs. Do you have any puppies? Just wondering if it causes any problems when used in areas around puppies.

I have used that several times this year and I think the fleas around this house just grab a bite of it for lunch and keep on keeping on.

Works great on my garden tho.

I knocked a huge dent in them at my house with Talstar. I only see about one every 2-3 weeks now, where I was seeing 2-3 per day. I highly recommend it. It also works for roaches and spiders.

What are you treating the dogs with? At my place as soon as I got my dogs treated with something that worked, fleas left...treat the animal, not the yard

We use Talstar or Biphenyl (generic version) for fire ants but it whacks the fleas also. I've used both the liquid concentrate and the grannuals.

which is cheaper and/or more effective? Tired of these little frickers jumping around everywhere.

Generic is cheaper when you can find it. I get either at Ponchatoula feed and seed. Comes in 25 lb bags. The Talstar liquid concentrate is easier to spread but is pricey. Stuff works great.

You need to call an exterminator ASAP. The yard is one thing, the house is a fricking emergency

Had a bad problem with fleas a few years back. I found that I had to treat my yard and both neighbors' yards before my problem subsided. Treated dog as well. Neither neighbors had dogs.

It's that time of year. Found 3 of the little bastards on my dog this morning

this

your house and an outside environment is two totally different things.. you will be fighting a never ending battle with fleas outside in the summer time, especially in thew south..

bomb the house, and then the yard the day after
