I'm cutting out wheat and most sugar. I'm running a lot more; getting into shape. I failed the second part of pre-calc last semester, but I'm passing it this time. I still don't understand it, but I'm a Science major and it's BS I have to take it in the first place.

Yeah, I didn't know why I had to take Landscape architecture and chemistry and physics as a psych major.
Actually, chemistry was helpful.
How many years do you have left?

I'm taking a break from school. I'll have my associates though. I'll probably pick it up in a year or so. Right now I'm concentrating on getting ready to homeschool my oldest.

Don't trust Norfolk's schools?

No lie, I have two friends who have sons in public schools right now. They're in K and 1st grade. They use to be cool little guys, but now they have this attitude about them, almost like teenagers. I want to slap em. I think it's from being around their friends all day, trying to impress each other.

Maybe that's just what it's like for the new generations.
Entitlement, all-about-me, no respect.
Actually, you know what.
I take that back.
I refuse to sound like the OT in here.
Honestly, I just don't think parents know how to use time out properly.
I see that a lot.

I don't use time outs. I have my sons reach towards the ceiling for a couple of minutes, or I make em take a shot of vinegar. I like to mix it up.
I don't even think it's about the punishment so much as letting them know that you're in charge, and the shite isn't a negotiation, and you mean what you say.

So long as you're not trying to be best bros with them.
I think I'm catching what you're throwing.

Yeah, definitely not.

Under the right circumstances...
3 years of classes.
And 1-2 years of internship, depending on state.
At least I'll still be in my 20's when I begin my career.

What field are you trying to work in? Pysch is a broad umbrella.

At the very least, I'll be doing clinical psychology.
Psychotherapy.
My framework will be somewhat eclectic but mostly Cognitive-behavioral therapy with some mindfulness thrown in.
But I'm going back and forth regarding forensic psychology.
Forensic psychologists assess parents during custody disputes, determine insanity and competency during trials, suggest placement in either juvenile or adult court for young offenders, etc.
They're basically the expert witness.
Psychology isn't exactly a lucrative field, but forensic psychologists do well.
That's the medium-length story.

That sounds a bit stressful. Your input would have a profound effect on some lives.

What's going on in here?
I'm doing fine. Just hanging with the wife right now. Just put little tour to bed so were drinking some whiskey. I'm meeting with a former LSU head coach tomorrow regarding a business venture. Hopefully it works out. Work has been busy. Home is busier as the wife is studying for the final part of the CPA and is starting a new job in a couple weeks. Luckily that'll all be over with by the time the season starts. Looking forward to meeting you guys at our annual tailgate this year.

Yeah, no kidding.
A lot of psychologists claim that the most stressful thing they do is engage in custody disputes.
Nothing brings out the worst in people like the prospect of losing custody on one's children.
They lie, cheat, threaten you with lawsuits and board complaints.
And of course, the best-paying option for forensic psychologists is opining in a capital punishment case.
But it's basically inviting a nightmare the way lawyers and other experts will treat you.

Took me 2 years to pass the CPA. Nothing can describe the feeling when I got my final passing score on REG. Lots of crown that night. Vodka man now a days.
Oh Patty I'm on day 7 of Atkins right now. Lost 6 lbs and feel awesome.

Her surprise for finishing the CPA is a trip to Boston for Saints-Pats.
