Southern and the SWAC are a joke.

I agree, but if they are forced to play a 1-AA team because no one else is available I would much rather keep the money in Louisiana.

What benefit would it be for LSU to pummel Furman or Georgia Southern, and what benefit would it be for them to be pummeled? Besides monetary.

The last thing you'd want is a starter for LSU going down because some jacknut from Furman or Ga So had to prove how awesome he was in a scrimmage.

Hotel and restaurant people in BR would hate to see that match up because Furman and Ga So routinely travel 20,000 or so to away games, and everyone knows that absolutely no SU fans live outside of Baton Rouge.

Would have been nice to see the football teams play in the 90's, but Its not nned for them to play, now basketball could be a lil risky for LSU playing SU.

Playing Southern is barely a step up from playing Evangel or John Curtis.

The hotel and restaurant business would be hurt and game may not sell out. And with strength of schedule still counting towards the BCS. And the disparity in talent in way to big. Southeastern would fall in the same boat.

Did anyone see Latech almost beat A&M last year? Did you see ULMonroe beat Arkansas. Be careful what you wish. A trap game could make the rant implode.

I would like to see this matchup. First game of the year. Who is going to talk the most smack ? What kind of line would this game open up as in Vegas ? What kind of interest would this matchup create in Baton Rouge? Final score ? Interesting.
