Just received this email....

As the 2013 LSU Tiger football season rapidly approaches, LSU Athletics will be testing its audio equipment in Tiger Stadium this week. These gameday simulation sessions will take place during the following days and times:

Monday, July 22 – afternoon hours
Tuesday, July 23 – throughout the day
Wednesday, July 24 – morning hours
Thursday, July 25 – throughout the day

We would like to advise the LSU community that sound from these simulations may be audible throughout parts of the campus.

It's getting close!!!!

It will never be ready in time

Eta: will there be less piped in music or did they add temporary speakers for the season?

I'm not a fan of it, but at least it won't sound like shite now, at least I hope. It used to sound dumb to play music on the previous sound system because they'd crank the hell out of it to make up for how shitty of a system it was (never meant for anything other than an announcer).

Not temporary. They added 15ft to each side of the NEZ scoreboard and filled it with top of the line speakers. Supposedly this system will produce HD quality digital sound.

Now only if they would play HD quality music and leave the redneck crap at home.

Would be a welcome addition. For the last few years the sound quality from the SEZ scoreboard has been fricking horrible. It was like hearing "it's Saturday night in Death Valley" cranked from the speakers of a '93 Daewoo parked outside the stadium.

Moved the speaker system from the South Endzone to the North Endzone... There is no South EZ Scoreboard any more due to construction on the new SEZ.

Lsu should hire bama's sound system contractor. Their sound system sounds like a damn KISS concert . Probably the best in the conference
