I've been hearing rumblings that ESPN is really pushing for some of the higher profile guys to put their commitments on hold until the All-American games.

There were rumors about RN last year taking the LSU visit just to keep his pick a "surprise". That ESPN pressured this.

That's partially correct. Yeah they want to join before their spot is taken. Many should take note of this bc that's how it is. However, the fact of the matter is, this guy came to camp and went up against the likes of;
Deshawn Raymond
Saeed blacknall
Cj Morgan
Dylan Moses
Speedy noil
Trey Quinn
Malachi Dupree

On top of that there were some good DBs out there as well. That tells me he camped pretty good to get an offer with all those studs there.

Sure thing. kinda wonder if this plays with the psyche of the "higher tier" guys making them feel LSU could still do well without them?? and we could of course

there will be some attrition and early exits to the draft

I can see the Jalens possibly declaring. I'm leaning more towards thinking at least 1-2 of the guys we have committed will be taking greyshirts, though.

tre white was a 3 star when he committed to LSU and you see how that worked out for him. let the recruiting process play out. If the kid has talent he will get a boost in rankings.

Does this not affect the overall total LSU can take a year????

I wasn't attacking you for your comments fwiw. Cats was being idiotic. You were simply putting up a discussion. That what were here for.

I think commitments like these put a little pressure on the higher ranked guys. They know they're great but a lot of them still grew up wanting to play for LSU.

I still have Quinn committing this week and I think that will pressure more guys into committing as well. As the spots run out, the pressure gets thicker.

Mills is a true sophomore and Collins will have to fight like hell to keep his starting spot. Both will be on the 2014 squad.

I think you'll see significant attrition from the guys who get passed up on the depth chart by the incoming freshmen.

That's why I'm so high on JM. He was a true freshmen and our best CB. He going to be nasty in this year and 2014.

Welcome Santos. I hope your LSU career is healthy and award winning. Shock the world of doubters and star gazers.
