Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde kicked off team for punching girl in face?

I read on a few ohio state sites and the rivals main forum that Ohio State RB Carlos Hyde has been kicked off the team for punching a cop's daughter in the face last night at a bar. Twitter is abuzz as well.
It has also been confirmed that OSU has called a team meeting tomorrow to discuss a certain player. Urban Meyer is keeping the lid shut so far, though. Nothing from the university.
Some are specuating that the police report is #1306011570, victim Madeline Heinlein. Go to this link and type in the number to read the report.

The reason I am posting this is because Hyde is regarded as the best back in the B10, and one of the most important players.

Yea I saw some rumors about this but nothing from a reliable source.
Not sure if he deserves to get kicked off the team or just a hefty suspension.
We have a stable of RBs but mostly unproven after Hyde really stepped up last year.
