And what gin do you use, and why?

Recently discovered a new gin drink that has me back on it, and I'm curious what else I can make with my gin.

Standard Gin and Tonic with Hendrick's is just fantastic. It's so good that I rarely have cause to go to anything else. If I am feeling the urge to try something only slightly different I'll go with a Tom Collins, still with Hendrick's.

For martinis I typically use a cheaper gin because I feel like they detract too much from the flavor profile of the gin.

Shamefully I've never tried a gin fizz. Not sure why, it's on my list.

Yes. I stick to tanqueray (sp), but I hardly ever drink gin

...and tonic with lime.

On the rare occasions I buy gin, it's Tanqueray.

Cucumber and fresh mint, muddled. Add gin, lime juice, simple syrup, shake. Pour over ice and top with club soda

Jack Rudy's makes a small batch tonic extract (made with lemongrass, orange peel, and vanilla) and a small batch grenadine (made the real way with pomegranate and cane sugar). I've recently discovered the greatness that is smooth ambler gin out if WV. I use 1.5oz smooth ambler, .5 oz tonic extract, and top with soda. Best G&T ever. Also deaths door gin is very nice out of WI. 1.5 oz that, .5oz lime juice, .5 oz small batch grenadine, .25 oz simple syrup and a couple dashes bitters.
