Also got a 10 million dollar signing bonus. The original story has been updated to include a few more details.

The deal is worth more a little more than $16 million a league source said, and the Browns were able to obtain offset language in the contract. His signing bonus is in the $10 million range.

Good to see him signed up to a nice contract. He was a class act at LSU and hopefully he will perform well in the pros. I just really hated to see him go to Cleveland.

In exchange for the offset language, Mingo will receive his entire signing bonus between now and the end of the year, a league source said.

Offset language means the team of origin would only have to pay the difference in salary in the event the player is released and signs with a new team before his rookie contract expires.

He has Jeff Guerrerio as his agent, I am not sure he has another NFL player and if he does they probably aren't first round picks. I can't imagine he came out on the good side of these negotiations.

Glad he is in camp though!

10 million dollar signing bonus! Sweet! He seems like a level headed guy. If he keeps his head right, he will be set for life.

Rookie wage scale limits how much of a negotiation there can be and it sounds like he got a pretty good deal, contract is virtually guaranteed

Isn't he a personal injury lawyer? I guess Keke knows him from home and trusts him, but still, he's not the first guy I would pick to negotiate for me. The contract seems in line with others drafted around him though, so I guess he made out okay.
