Would you prefer to play Florida every year if you had the choice?

Gator fan here. I know our fanbase has mixed feelings on this, as do I. There are pros and cons to it of course. But as a Tiger fan, how do you feel if given the choice?

I like playing Florida every year but permenant opponents need to go away. I'd feel the same way if LSU played Kentucky every year. I think its stupid.

I really dont care who Lsu plays

i care more about that there is some apparent attempt at fairness in the schedule for all teams,

In an ideal world, you trim the fat down to the pre-1992 teams, and play a round robin.

But since that isn't going to happen, permanent opponents need to go away. It makes absolutely zero sense to have them around.

I like the UF game

But when things are as hot and contested as they are right now, I understand the frustration and share it with LSU fans. The discrepancy in opponents records of our west counterparts is frustrating to say the least

So I'd rather do away with all perm opponents

ETA: when only two or four in the future teams get a shot at playing for a NC the schedule can and is a major factor

If the playoff was 16 teams I doubt you'd hear so much schedule talk

I love the Florida game, campus is always top notch that day. However I believe permanent cross division rivals needs to go. Makes no sense imo

There are other factors that go into playing Florida besides the fact that its a good game.

Such as:
1) Gainesville is full of cheesedicks
2) it takes forever to get there from BR

Therefore, not in favor.

If I'm going to waste a whole day traveling to a road game, it might as well be to Athens, where the fine women flow like wine, or Nashville, where the bar scene...flows like wine....?

Hell yeah!
A quality win always helps.

Eta: I do like the campus and the stadium is a blast...but mostly, I enjoy beatin that gator arse!

i'd prefer all the teams play all the teams and not certain ones play the same teams from different divisions every year.

I want to play UF every year. I'd rather play the best. Wins count more and losses aren't as damaging. Don't like Gainesville and will not go again, but I'd rather play them than hide behind embarrassing schedules that belie evident favoritism.
I also want a 9 game schedule so that bama would finally play a quality opponent from the east.

I don't mind it but I'd like a rotating schedule more with no permanents.

this, I don't see why this is so hard for folks.

Yeah, after 25 years, things will even out. But we are playing a season 1 time.

No, each division should play the exact same teams. In the name of fairness. AU has sucked, but would you want the Cam led AU team to be the one freaking year you got em?

Too much money, media, and impact to have such a lucky shitshow regarding schedule

I like playing Florida too, but I also like playing all the other teams in the SEC.

If LSU manages to back out of playing UF every year I will be pissed. It's my favorite game every year.

I like UF every year. To be the best you should have to beat the best.

I like the schedules of "the best" to be more equitable.

I wish those two statements were not mutually exclusive.

All I want is for it to be as fair as it can be for all the schools. This is not the case right now.
