I wish I could put stock into some of these pre-season quotes, but based on recent years most seem to be simply coachspeak.

everything from the OP is coach-speak…

what's he gonna say?

"yeah, i'm actually surprised Mettenberger can walk upright, much less tie his shoes correctly…"

of course he "loves" his OL, etc… even if he didn't, you think he'd publicly say it??

talk, at this point, is cheap… we'll see how it all shakes out soon enough...

Mett will be much better this year, but can't say I am not ready to see a Jennings or BH type QB taking snaps for LSU.

I don't see why anyone has an issue with this play. It's a rollout, not an option run. He buys some time and has a bunch of defenders pulled out of coverage. In the end he didn't have anyone open and threw it away. I don't have a problem with that.

Perhaps you should remember this one... 7:23 mark

How is it a UF touchdown when the link takes you to LSU vs Ole Miss 2011?

The roll out pass is supposed to make the defense at least have to pay attention to the possibility of the qb running for a td. ZM8 was no threat during that play against UF. He's sluggish with his mobility.

Thought you were referring to first link with UF game.

Random, but just watched the SC highlights and obvious impressions:

1) our prevent defense at the end of games was awful
2) our redzone offense all year was awful (scoring and play calling)
3) very happy we have Hilliard as our #2. People need to stop shitting themselves freaking out about having Blue, Hilliard, and Magee if Hill is out.
4) Simon was terrible. Not upset about him declaring.
5) why in the shite is Odell Beckham Jr on our hands team? He looked like Bregman circa UCLA on the squib right at him. Good gawd.

Sure he's not as fast as the outside guys on UF's defense, but not many are. He still drew three defenders up to defend against the run. The problem was no one was open.

Landry getting hugged in the EZ. Maybe this year Mett will zip that by their ear and try to draw a flag.

Zach's a good enough athlete to move. And we need him to move
