Not sure which board to go with here, but my girlfriend and I were talking about this last night. She says a Saints game is better, and I say LSU. Now, I've been to WAY more LSU games than she has, and she's been to WAY more Saints games than me, so we both made arguments. I say the whole LSU experience is more fun than the Saints (not to say i don't love Saints games). I just think the tailgating and game environment in Death Valley is something no other place can touch. 500,000 people pregaming, and 92,000 screaming fans, there is nothing like it.

What do you think?

Been to plenty of both in my 26 years.

LSU takes it by a pretty good margin. Real talk

LSU games offer a much better per-game environment. I make sure to get there early so not to miss out.

If this question was asked in 2006, LSU would win by a long shot. However, since then, I give the edge to the Superdome for the in-game experience.

EVERY game is loud there. Not just one or two a year.

even when the saints have been out of the playoff race, the Dome has not stopped rocking since Gleason blocked that punt

This. I had Saints season tickets 2006-2012 and have been to every major LSU game from 1998-2007. Saints games are generally louder bc the dome keeps the noise in and alcohol is sold. I think it also helps that the Saints play an exciting style. There isn't much pregame atmosphere at the Dome except the occasional Monday night when there's a concert. And a Saints playoff game at home is on another level. The Sajnts-Vikings game in 2009 was probably louder and more intense even than Florida 2007.

I like tailgating better at LSU. Like the game experience better for saints. A/C, my own chair back with out redneck fatty squishing me, beer and mixed drinks, etc.

As an LSU grad and season ticket holder in TS I will say this. I grew up in ATL and am a huge Dirty Bird fan. Hadn't seen a falcons saints game in the superdome since the Falcons playoff win there in 91 until last year. The pre game experience in champions square was phenomenal!! aint seen tailgating like that for an nfl game ever. Tailgating for a Falcons game sucks.
That being said, the in-game experience sucked balls. Felt like I was in the student section in Tiger Stadium. Waaayyy too many drunk Saints fans who couldnt hold their liquor. Saints fans startin fights with other saints fans. Saw a dude hit his wife in the row in front of me. The superdome is a redneck emporium.

Saints games primarily starting at noon is a big issue!

Saints games are better because of the production of the pro game, IMO. It's a matter of tastes.

Tailgating it isn't even close. Tailgating at LSU blows the doors off of the pitiful excuse for tailgating in NOLA, and pretty much anywhere else on the planet.

I am a HUGE Saints fan, but LSU takes the cake on tailgating. Many Saints games start at noon, so there is not much real tailgating you can get done anyway. I rarely ever even see any tailgating going on at Saints games.

Dead on accurate.. Saints are to LSU what six flags is to Disney.

Totally different tailgates....LSU is open on a college campus while the Saints are in a downtown environment with bars. I like both

You can't seriously say a Saints game is more redneck than an LSU game

Where do people tailgate for Saints games? There's your answer. N.O. Is a blast though.

I'm assuming you were in the cheap seats. We had the same experience in Atlanta last year for the Thursday night game... a bunch of fair weather Atlanta fans acting like they just won the super bowl starting shite the entire way out of the game. The worst I've ever been treated at an away game, LSU or Saints.

To answer the original post, LSU tailgating wins and the consistency of Saints in game experience wins.

LSU wins. Tiger Stadium is superior to all other stadiums, plus LSU has the history that the Saints don't quite have. There's also the element of being (most of the time) Saturday night and not Sunday at noon. So with that I go with LSU.
