The little lady wants a riding mower for the new place.
She dosen't think she wants a ZTR b/c of the handles.

Do we really need a ZTR?
Only 1.25 acre with a house and detached garage.

If your little lady wants to cut the grass, get her whatever the frick she wants.

You get her something you want and you'll find your arse out there cutting grass instead of her.

Is that a deck size that is smaller than usual?

(she'll be used to that)

JB, I have heard this as well.

Her concern is that it takes a good bit of upper body strength.
I have never been on one either, so I have no idea.

I drive with one hand sometimes

the 48 is good if you will have many obstructions. I like it on our 1/3 acre yard. a 54 or 60 might work if its all wide open IMO

Seriously, check out the ZTR with the steering wheel that I posted. Not for everyone but I love mine.

Will do.

Mrs. VG said to tell y'all the truth:
She wants to be sure she can drink a beer while cutting.

And my Gravely 52" is very easy to steer with one hand. Just grab both handles where they come together and work it from there. Another plus is that leaves the other hand free for the obligatory adult beverage.

Absolutely you'll appreciate a ZTR. Will cut mowing time in half.

They handles are hydraulic....it takes zero upper body or arm strength to operate. My 4'10" wife operates my 52-incher like a pro.
