I keep hearing people talk about how much better he will be in Atlanta. He is 30 this year and not getting younger. He will have a better team and the passing game may help him out but I just don't see him as that big of a value. Can someone change my mind?

Turner was bad last season and still had 10 TDs and was the 21st ranked RB.. Also had 86 goal line opps while Sjax had 36 in the same amount of time (over a few seasons). You figure Turner last year is Sjax floor this season. Add in Sjax ability to catch and you're prob looking at a top 15 guy in ppr

Sjax 2013 if he equals his yardage production as a Ram, but just add Turner's TD's(11 or 12 TDs for the year)= Jamal Charles/spiller/Trich 2012

if his yardage+TD is that of Turner 2011...but add his receptions you're looking at Lynch last year

You are delusional if you think Turners TDs automatically will become Sjax's. Sjax is a bad goal line RB whereas Turner is a good one.

Fantasy rb production is just as much about opportunity as it is talent. Sjax becoming the workhorse rb for a very good offense should revitalize his career. Should see a lot more goal line carries. That by itself is enough to boost his fantasy numbers. He should be a high end rb2 at worst imo.

Oh I agree. I just don't automatically assume he gets 11 TDs just because Turner did considering the talent difference in goal line duties

Do they have a goal line RB who may steal some carries? I don't see him getting 10 TDS this year.

They have JaQuizz(sp?) and I think Snelling still but I don't see Snelling getting much PT. He would be a "goal line" RB.

Turner has 5 straight years of 10+ TDs. He scored 61 TDs with ATL in his time there. 35 of them came from 3 yards or less. 13 more came from within 4-9 yards.

Needless to say, Atlanta's offense seems to manufacture a lot of touches from goal-to-go.

Now I'm not even the biggest Jackson fan. But give him 1k yards, Turner's 10 TDs from last year, and somewhere in the neighborhood of Jacquizz's 53 receptions and what do you get?

I put higher stock in him than that, but he's getting built up too high.
