Just popped this in not expecting much and still shut it down after 30 minutes. How did this get 'certified fresh'? Title should have been white trash spring breakers.

I thought if would be more of a good girls gone bad type of movie. Other than Selena, I wanted the other 3 to die from the start.

if he shut it off after 30 minutes, then he didn't even get to James Franco, who was the best part

I guess I'm in the minority here. It wasn't a masterpiece or anything, but I enjoyed the hell out of it.

According to that New Yorker Review linked above that I just read, it was close to a masterpiece. Jesus, how did that critic get all of that out of this movie?
I knew it was "artsy" and not the typical Spring Break movie going in, but I still didn't really care for it. I pretty much watched the whole thing in disbelief asking myself WTF? every 5 minutes

Decided to finish it. Still sucks IMHO. They were trashy hoes before they met Riff Raff. He didnt open up some new world to them, he just supplied the guns.

Actually spent a month in Cancun for Spring Break. I wasn't WTF'ing at the nudity, drinking or drugs, but more at the ridiculousness of the girls in the movie. Like when they're all hanging out at the pool hall in the ghetto. No way my 20 year old white girl self or friends would have been ok hanging out there. Nor is there anyway we would have hung out with anyone who looked like Alien. Also, WTF'ed the gun scene where Alien basically gives a blow job to the gun. The whole movie was just weird and seemed unrealistic to me.

I guess In a manner of speaking you got on the bus with her. An interesting artistic experience in it's own right

How about that gunfight scene eh?

First dude head shots Franco at about a distance of 50 yards, and the rest of them can't hit the bright pink targets slowly moving by at a walking pace.

Agreed.
It made me feel awkward even though I was watching it by myself.

I believe Much of the movie was intended to be unrealistic and ridiculous.

yeah, i mean it didn't make any sense at all. I thought it was cool that *SPOILERS*

Riff raff is getting ready for war, and first thing when he walks up, bam he's dead.

And then the girls kill everybody.

Makes no sense at all. Still liked it though
