Exactly. Just because something is popular doesn't make it a tourist trap. Cafe du Monde is the worst example of a tourist trap in this thread.

I agree. A real tourist trap is something like four corners in the west. Where Utah/New Mexico/Arizona/Colorado meet. That's a tourist trap.

Disney and the French Quarter, yeah..... no

Gatlinburg isn't either. Pigeon Forge on the other hand probably qualifies...

Why is that a tourist trap? It's a fun, unique environment that isn't outrageously priced. Yea, you'll pay a little more for drinks there, but it isn't stupid expensive.
