Some of you can't even define profiling correctly (Posted on 7/17/13 at 2:40 am)
The Zimm case had nothing to do with profiling. The perp who had hit the neighborhood previously happened to be black. That's not profiling. That's looking for strange folks that meet the characteristics of the previous perp.
If no robberies had taken place in the neighborhood or if they had no description of the possible perp but watch people only took note of black guys, THAT would be profiling.
Only a retard calls noticing a guy who meets the general description of a previous perp "profiling".

quote: Trayvon had the right to be in the neighborhood...
Who said otherwise??
Did Zimmerman have the same right??
Hell - a bank robber has a right to be in the bank right up til he asks for the money.
quote: and not be harassed.
How was Trayvon being harassed??
Is it because Zimmerman noticed him?
How did Trayvon know Zimmerman was noticing him? = he was noticing Zimmerman. Was Zimmerman being harassed by Trayvon?
Actually the latter is more the case, since Trayvon went out of his way to come up to Zimmerman's truck and eyeballing him thru the window.
quote: Do you realize blacks experience fear the same way you do?
Of course. dumb question.
But in THIS case what did Trayvon have to 'fear' from Zimmerman? He had a phone in his hand. 911 is not hard to dial. There were houses all around him - he could have pounded on a door and asked for assistance. He could have yelled out to Zimmerman = 'hey you!! - quit stalking me!!!' He was within a few dozen steps of his house, and for the following four minutes did nothing to get away from his 'fear.'
Was Trayvon 'dissed' that a creepy assed cracka had noticed him in a neighbor's yard? That is the more probable sense of the situation. You can keep constructing inane 'what ifs' that fit your prejudice, but common sense doesn't comport with them.
But we will never know just WHY Trayvon decided that his best course of action in those 4 minutes was to hide and ambush Zimmerman with a sucker punch to the nose and then to proceed to pound Zimmerman's head into the sidewalk.
What we do know is that last decision cost him his life. And not one of you would have done anything differently if your head was being pounded into concrete repeatedly. You know it and everyone with a brain knows it. Anything to the contrary is complete ignorance or intellectual dishonesty in order to pursue some unrelated agenda.
