Disney's Planes is pretty much just a money-grab, right?

Yes. And boys like toys. The money is (mostly) in the merchandise.

Strangely enough, it's actually NOT being done by Pixar. However, it is loosely based on a Cars short called "Air Mater" I believe. John Lasseter is involved, but through Disney Toons. I don't quite get it... Wonder if Disney is making changes? I also noticed that this movie is PG. Wonder why???

If I remember right, this was supposed to be a straight to DVD film.

It was supposed to be a straight to DVD movie, but it turned out decent enough to get a theatrical release.

They already have the sequel planned to be released next year.

My son is 6. I can walk into his bedroom and find a die cast of every single character in the first two movies. Now we have a fricking airport to add.

Son of a bitch.

I feel your pain.

You only have like 4 or 5 more years left of this until he grows out of Disney and then Disney can GTFO your lives.

They are kids bruh.. It's not like they actually put any thought into movies..

They play with cars. They see a cartoon where cars talk. They fall in love..

Same shite as toy story.

Those pilot names HAVE to be shoehorned into the movie somehow
