Anybody attending any of the dinners or drink tastings? I have never been but some friends from Houston will be in town this weekend so maybe I'll recommend trying something...

Unfortunately I'll be out of town for it this year. It's a really cool event, with tons of different places/mixologists/drinks, etc. to try. My favorite is Bar Room Brawl @ Generations Hall. There's also a good little event @ Monteleone.

of course. they're all included in the ticket price. they have both bar service and cocktail waitresses walking around serving drinks.

yup! I've been looking at the website but the tasting rooms options is a little overwhelming. Plus I can't find ticket prices for each of those events. Looks like most of the tasting dinners are sold out.

Damnit. I have a friend in the judge board thing whatever it is. But I haven't been answering her calls. Lesson learned. I thought we were still a few months out.

I couldn't leave town this weekend anyway. It's art melt.

Online ticket sales ended a few days ago, but I'm 99% sure you can always walk up and buy tickets for each event. Usually there is a table with a few staffers selling tickets/taking tickets just outside of the entrance to the event room.

We love this event, but haven't gone in about 3 yrs.

ETA: some events are likely to be truly sold out....i.e. the spirited dinners on Thurs night.....booking for that ended some time ago.

every thurs and fri dinner I clicked on was sold out.

the website says you can buy individual tickets at the monteleone, but doesn't list prices for tasting events.

Hit up the hotel monteleone pool bar saturday and sunday afternoon. Pretty much open bar, I'm not sure if you need a wrist band or not.

Im not sure the tasting rooms sell tickets, but a ticket to another event gets you into certain tasting rooms.

I love Tales. Headed to it today.

The wristband from any event, will get you into all tasting rooms. If all events sell out, you will then be able to buy tasting room bands for $45.

I attended the Art of the Cocktail Extravaganza at the Windsor Court Monday night. It was really good. Lots of great craft cocktails to try. My favorite was a cucumber gin drink from St. Lawrence. My favorite food items were a maple cured smoked salmon canapé from The Windsor Court and a smoked fish dip from Mila. Tickets were $35, and I'd definitely say it was worth it. I'm Yelp Elite and got free tickets, so it was definitely worth it to me. :)

I'm a chef for one of the spirited dinners, so no attending one. I definitely want reports back from anyone that does attend one.

Looks like these places still have openings for the spirited dinners:

Kingfish
R'evolution
Tivoli & Lee
Pelican Club
One Eyed Jacks
Windsor Court
Rio Mar
Delmonico
Creole Queen
Arnaud's
Irish House

We're headed down to it Saturday. We've talked about going but never made it. The Missus thought she had a line to some event passes, but those didn't pan out.
