Couple pics from fishing today

in the lake close to the twin spans

The jacks were busting up mullet EVERYWHERE but they were just out of reach for the most part. They're certainly in the lake now. First I've seen them this year.

that piece of mullet hanging over his mouth. Was shark fishing and thought he was a blacktip when I was fighting him. It was a pretty good fight.

funny you say that, I caught a mullet on a piece of dead shrimp....first time I've ever caught one with rod and reel. I was fooling with another reel and heard a splash and looked over and the rod was bent over. the mullet was skipping across the top of the water going nuts. was a really cool fight. damn thing was 20inches long and weighed a couple pounds...

I passed through a school of jacks last month coming in from offshore, definitely fun to fight with spec rigs
