Stayed in downtown Fort Worth against Oregon and would like to experience Dallas this year. Where is everybody staying? Anybody find a good value hotel?

Define good value.

A group of us are staying at NYLO Downtown in Dallas.

Great reviews on trip advisor.

We stayed @ Hotel Palomar last time vs Oregon and it was slammed with LSU fans. Close to Javier's Restaurant & Cigar Bar. Party.

that's why I asked how old he is. Uptown will be a damn madhouse that weekend.

If he's older, I was thinking Knox/Henderson. Won't be AS crazy.

Not IN McKinney.

McKinney Ave in Uptown Dallas. Top spot for mid to late 20's singles. It's a fun place to live.

Howard Johnson in Arlington FTW

If it hasn't been condemned since the 2011 Cotton Bowl, that is.

I believe he meant near McKinney Ave in downtown Dallas, not the city of McKinney. Just in case there is any confusion.

ETA...damn, everyone answered at the same time.

Yup. It's gonna be a cluster. I'm sure all of my friends will want to go out Uptown. I'll try to sell them on a couple of dives, probably to no avail.

Thank god I live close.

Great info guys. I don't want to give out my age but want to be where the action is. Downtown Fort Worth was okay last year.

Good to know.

I want to be close enough to take a cab. I'm noticing some 4 star hotels around a $100 a night but most are near the airport. I'd say something near the action around $200 would be a good value.

Are you in your 20's?

Sheraton off 35 is pretty close in the Medical District. As previously mentioned, check out Hotel Palomar. Or there are a ton of places off of Central (75) that you can look at.

eta: and if you're calling a cab that weekend, call WELL in advance. Or just use the Uber app and look like a balla.

So where does the team say? I've asked around and gotten 3 different answers.

No idea. It would make sense if they stayed in Arlington, but that's above my paygrade. There's a pretty nice Sheraton right by the BPiA/JerryWorld.
