Had some buddies go out in black bay last weekend and did ok, nothing to right home about. I'm thinking about taking Friday off to hit Reggio. Looking to pick off the reds.

I know a guide who stays busy down there. Mainly redfish I think. Couldn't tell you any specific stuff but I know he's always booked.

Still catching in Eloi. Haven't heard anything about the rocks lately but I don't know why they wouldn't still be there.

I would say go out to the short/long rocks if you're looking for trouts.

Fished Sunday and Monday. Went to Biloxi Marsh Sunday evening, picked up 3 man limit of reds, but we moved a lot. Using trolling motor a ton, kinda like bass fishing, picking up 1 here/there. Got them in 3 hours, so that wasn't bad. We left out of Chef Pass, had to run across the lake, which was rough as shite.

Had a guide out of Campo's Monday. He called Sunday night, wanted us to cancel. We told him we still wanted to go, and knew we'd have to stay inside. Went to one reef at daylight in Eloi, picks up a trout or two, but it got rough quick. Went further inside, caught of bunch of small trout (not keepers). About 10, we decided to hit the marsh/catch some reds, went to Pete's Lagoon. Got on one quick red bite (caught two and a flounder in about 5 minutes), then a storm ran us out of the marsh.

Going to be a horrible week down there this week. Big east winds. You can catch a bunch of trout if you can get outside. Otherwise, stay in Biloxi Marsh and chase reds.

Google "how to run the spoil canal" a guide out up some tutorials and what not. Why don't you post some reports for those of us who are heading down later this week. I thought the wind was supposed to die down later in the week.

Know how far it is from BSM to the end of long rocks? Trying to plan for fuel usage.

Man, please be careful in that place. Our guide pointed out to us the boat that hit the little skiff last year. We ran it for a little while Monday, and I was wondering why he slowed down so much. He then told us the story/pointed out the big boat that hit the little boat when we were coming back in/told us about it. I'd forgotten about it actually, 'cause I'm only down there 4 or 5 times a year.

Did you tell him that you were a veteran of DeSiard, Darbone, and the Ouachita during the monsoon and high tide season?

Shoulda went red fishing. I ran spoil to short rocks today and it was rough as shite. Water is incredibly high due to east winds. Nothin doing rocks, so fished east shoreline lake machais finally found some clear water, caught ratio of 1:18 keeper to schoolies. Said frick that went inside and picked up a few reds.

Back a it Tom hoping it calms down like they say it supposed. Plan on making it outside hopefully

Black tank battledore and five wells produced big fish but not many. Eloi had lots of schoolies.
