You really must be very young. BSers, as you call them, can rise but usually fall hard because they don't have anything to back up their bs. Intellectual people know it's better to keep their mouth shut and be thought of as an idiot rather than open thier mouth and prove it to everyone.

I posted this in the other Oden thread. I don't think he wants the bright lights of South Beach. This article is from May 2012, but it describes Oden as a shy introvert that's not just looking for an undeserved payday. That actually lines up with him taking a huge $7 or so million paycut in Portland that he didn't have to take. After reading this I'm leaning more towards this is a serious comeback attempt rather than a cash grab.

quote:

"You're a fun-loving guy with a ton of personality," I said. "So why do you hate it so much when people approach you in public? Why don't you let your personality shine through and smile when you take pictures with fans?"

"Because I don't understand why they are so excited to meet me," Greg responded. "I'm just a person. I guess I didn't really mind it when I was at Ohio State and even right after I was drafted, but it just seems so fake now. Like, why are you bothering me at dinner for a picture when I'm nothing now?"

..."I don't care about what all of these injuries mean for any legacy I might have," he said. "I just want to play basketball. I could've signed with a team after Portland cut me and just sat on the bench and collected paychecks, but that's not my style. That just seems really unethical. Besides, money doesn't matter to me. I've got enough money. All I want is to get 100 percent healthy and get back on the court."

Totally misunderstood what you meant. Yeah, if and when we sign him, I'll start hoping for the best. I always do. Right now, I think not wasting assets and cash on him is "the best."

Not hardly you people think you are so superior it's hilarious. I find it entertaining that some of you think that you can anger me over grammar posts.

That's completely not true, a good BSer always has metrics that give off the perception of achieving more than you actually are. Why would you open your mouth in a situation like that just because you are a BSer? That makes no sense.

Yea, who would try to act superior on the internet. I mean, you're smarter, straighter, and have more money! Why would we bother!?
