Looking for a Lab or similar dog - UPDATE: boxer puppy needs a home

Im looking to get a lab, preferably chocolate or black. Im not looking to get a top dollar hunting dog. Just wondering if anyone has a litter of puppies that are a year old or so (or somewhere to start looking). Wanting one that will fetch/play. Im also open to other similar breeds.

well i dont have the time for a new puppy but a younger (1-2.5 yr old) dog would be ideal.
-All the rescues i have looked at and was interedted in are 3-5yrs old so i am still on the hunt for a litte younger dog

We rescued a Chocolate Lab when she was around 8 months old and now shes 3.5 years old. She's a natural bird/river dog--we cant keep her out of the river, she loves to swim so much. Keep your eyes out for a rescue, they can turn out to be very good dogs.

I gotta agree with the notion of a rescue dog. Both of my catahoulas were homeless before they found me. Two of the best dogs I've ever had.

I'm getting the lab on Wednesday (it was going to be put to sleep tomorrow)
and the Fiance' found this boxer puppy that was going to be put down tomorrow and we are sending it to the EBRP shelter since it is a no kill shelter

I like names like "max" or something short and strong but this lab is a female so im not sure on a name
