I didn't realize the Stros were trying him as a SP. It's intriguing but I thought he would make a perfect LH specialist in the bigs. Of course, he can always have that as a fall back

Except no one has said that ever.

In fact, most people were pretty upset when Mainieri said before the season that he Cotton might be a hybrid closer/Sunday-starter.

Way to fish though.

Uhh, except that I read plenty of posts on here suggesting that Cotton should be a starter. Thanks though.

When your facing elimination in Omaha, it might have been a good decision since Glenn hadn't thrown in a month.

UNC did it with their closer and it worked!

Either you are the master of hyperbole or you are talking to some stupid people.

Even if LSU would have thrown Cotton it would have cost them later on with him not available at end of the bullpen but the way Rumbelow and LaMarche were throwing at the end of the year it might have been worth a gamble.

PM figured if LSU can come out of loser bracket in sec tourney they could have made similar run in Omaha though but bats did not cooperate.

The post right above yours.

Read many comments just like this one on here during baseball season.

The purpose of this post is to show how Cotton an ex Tiger is doing in his professional career. Not what could have been.
