idk why people use this as an excuse for putting out crap. I think the point of the thread is most being 99% of the people aren't entertained by at least the first one, it was completely a joke.

I'm willing to be that at least 80% of people who actually went to see the first one were entertained by it in one way or another.

If you can't find any enjoyment out of Grown Ups, then you truly are a miserable person and shouldn't be taken seriously by anyone.

It's like saying that at least 80% of the people who stay in hospitals are sick or injured in one way are another.

Why wasn't Rob Schneider in this one? Anyone know?

I heard a Nick Swardson interview on the radio last week and he said Schneider was locked into filming a sitcom (I believe he said sitcom) that he was filming at the same time and it just wasn't going to work out scheduling wise.

Also, its comical how mad most of yall get about this movie and other Sandler movies. I agree Jack and Jill was up there on the most terrible list, but this is what it is, a family friendly comedy. They aren't trying to win oscars. And I thought the food board was all the snobs, geesh.

Kind of like the Iphone 5?

I liked the first because it reminded me of me and my friends. We used to do all that shite when we were younger and if we all got together again, would do the same things.

Haven't seen the 2nd, but I'm not going to automatically hate on it first.

They aren't trying period. That's why people get upset. It's insulting that they expect people to fork over money to them while they sleepwalk through these shittastic movies.

I haven't seen GU2 yet, but the fact that Schneider is not in this movie really kills it for me.

He was such a major part of 1, with his grandma/wife and fine arse daughters.

Got a lot of laughs outa me

This is like going up to the Food Board and saying that a burnt bologna sandwich is a passable meal. It's clear that the person preparing it didn't try or give a shite, and expects you to eat it regardless. Sorry that I care about film as an art, and it really pisses off me and anyone else who remotely cares about film. It's got a 6% on RT. Passable family films should at minimum be in the 40s. This is just plain shite. Anyone in the world can make an Adam Sandler movie.

The Durantula of the food board would say "Everything can't be filet mignot you food snob's! It's a burnt, processed meat sandwich. Enjoy it for what it is"

Good analogy

I haven't seen it. I won't go to the theater. I will probably just download it one day. So, I really don't have an opinion on the quality of the movie, but....

quote:

The movie is objectively terrible. It was shot poorly, there are continuity errors, and egregiously gratuitous product placements.

If you didn't see it, how can you possibly know this.

Why do you assume that everyone shitting on this movie is a movie snob?

Things that make you go, hmmmm.

I don't know if he's an alter, but anyone that comes to this board and starts calling people movie snobs and downplaying movie and TV as art forms are automatically trolls. By definition, this board is for people that care enough about movies and TV that they expect a certain respect for the mediums.

Haven't seen it yet, but I want to see it. Do I care what others on this board think? No. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. So there.
