ULL should have been in the top ten

I hate Alabama more than the next guy, but their helmets and uniforms are clean as frick.

I love PSU and Bamas. Modern unis are too crowded and stupid looking. Classic, clean, and timeless should always win out. I would love if LSU still did the numbers on the side of their helmets.

If Bama is 3, Georgia Southern has to be at least in the top 10.

No Florida, no Oregon (who seemingly has a different helmet for every day of the year)

Strange list.

Not jumping your case, just a strange list out of all the teams out there. Even TCU isn't there. Weird.

Why would Oregon be up there?

We're #9 and Bama's faded red ones are #3?

Alabama's helmets and uniforms are pretty damn cool. Why do people get so butthurt over rankings of stupid shite like helmets? Yes, Alabama has a cool helmet.

Then Princeton should be #1, not Michigan.

Don't see how you can include Arizona on that list and not a staple helmet like OU. Oklahoma's helmet has stayed the same forever and is as recognizable as any. Not an OU fan but just being objective on the issue.

Probably, those are pretty awesome too.

But obviously stature of the program counts as well. These people need to sell magazines.

Yellow and purple are complementay colors. The guy needs to take a couple of Color Therory classes.

I'd like this too. Actually, I like the color scheme of our helmets but it needs freshening. The lettering looks like it was applied with electrical tape and the tiger head is unrecognizable.

I'd be fine with going back to using numbers on the side (which we did through about 1972) or, better yet, switch to the Geaux font for the letters and replace "helmet Mike" with the Tiger eye. It's instantly recognizable as us (hell, it's been our midfield logo for years now).

Agreed, history and tradition counted too much for this list.

How can Penn St be on the list? It's a white helmet with a single blue stripe. Something you'd see in pee wee league. Notre Dame's is just gold. Many of the others are very plain too (Nebraska, Bama).

I don't like Oregon or Maryland's crazy helmets, but I do like helmets with cool colors and/or an original logo. Examples are

SMU (easily the best helmet in football)
Baylor
Kansas St
San Jose St
Wash St
Michigan St
UNC
Washington

The developer of the list had an obvious appreciation for tradition. Not strange at all to find the likes of Oregon left off.

I think only the Tiger is needed on the helmets. Everyone knows who it is. I think they should re do the Tiger making it look more fierce and only put that on the helmet.

4- Michigan
5- Miami
6- usc
7- lsu (only team I like on the list)
