Don't mount dat....cook dat!!!!

My buddy caught that last week. We didn't weigh it, but figured it went about 9 1/2 to 10lbs.

There's nothing wrong with removing bass for eating. A 1/2 to 1lb bass is very fine eating, and even up to a little over two they're still pretty damn tasty. However, it's moronic to keep a fish that size to eat. For one, it isn't going to taste great at that age. But the main issue is that you're removing the possibility of that fish passing on those genes to more fish that could potentially grow to that size in the future. Sorry your friend is an idiot.

He satisfied both parties. He could get a replica made AND eat it.

Win/win
