Just counted the last 30 campaign based games I have played in most recent memory and I have only beat 5. I obviously wanted to beat all 30 otherwise I would not have bought them. I just get bored. All 3 uncharted games are included great story's but just got bored. Ill probably never finish The Last of Us.

I think my addiction to PvP has soiled any desire to play good campaigns. Every time I put a game in I want to be better than the other guy and that is my down fall. It's sad really.

I have no problem getting 75-100 hours of play out of most of my single player games. Its a lot more than that for the Fallouts and RDR.

Fallouts, skyrim, oblivion are included.

Pumped about 20hours combined in the fallouts. Loved em just got bored. Skyrim held me for a bit. Maybe 60ish hours. Oblivion probably 3 hours.

If the story or gameplay doesn't grab me in the first hour or two then I lose interest.

I also lose interest when I get 4 hours into a game and it's just monotonous. That's why I never finished any of the Uncharteds or the last 2 Assassin's Creed games.

PS: Be on around 9 tonight <3

I agree. I've started and not finished Sleeping Dogs, AC3, Zelda Skyward Sword (will not be finishing), and Halo 4 in recent memory. I'm usually pretty good about finishing them, though. I finished DA:O and DA2. ME2 and ME3. Witcher 2. Skyrim. AC, AC2, AC:B, and AC:R. Dark Souls. Saints Row 2 and 3. Every other Zelda.

Hm....by making this list I realized I finish more games than I thought. But recently I haven't been able to finish much of anything. Mostly because of my addiction to League of Legends. I might as well not even own anything else.

Ight. Ill be around.

Yeah the games you listed are within my 30 as well. Owned all and never beat any assassins creeds. I wanted to because I love history, but just got bored.

Games I've beat in my 15 years of gaming:

Zelda: LttP, OoT
Halo,2,3,Reach
Final Fantasy: 8 and 10
Kingdom Hearts1 and 2
Mass Effect(never finished 2)

That's 11 fricking games in 15 years. From SNES,N64,PS1, PS2, Xbox, 360 and ps3.

You never beat MM? I'm so jelly. I wish I could go back in time and play MM for the first time again...that experience....

However, if you can make yourself grind to finish the AC's, they are really good and the story is fantastic. I couldn't stop playing AC2 until I beat it. But that's the only one in the series that I HAD to beat. I'm pretty far into 3, but I'm spread so thin right now. If I turn on my xbox at all, it's usually to play NBA 2k13. No telling how many hours i've logged into that game. I've got like 8 different careers going right now.

I was never diagnosed with ADHD and am a pretty mellow dude.

I owned MM. Think I got pretty close to the end but don't know why I never finished. Probably got bored.

I get bored with games that make me run errands that barely tie into the main story, if at all, but are necessary to actually advance the plot.

And anything that uses too many cut scenes to establish the story + quicktime events.

And games that are too limiting in movement/exploration. Witcher 2 irritates the shite out of me in this regard. Let me jump off the fricking ladder. I don't need stock animations every time I have to walk through a door, climb down from a ledge, or use a ladder.

I actually kind of enjoy cinematic games. One of the reasons I LOVE Mass Effect so much. Even 3.

Still one of the best gaming experiences of my life is when I spend about a month or so playing through the whole Mass Effect series back to back. I downloaded all of the DLC (Shadowbroker DLC = GOAT) and just had one continuous play though.

That's how I did it. By the time I gave Mass Effect a try, 3 had JUST come out. So I bought all 3 and just played them all. I was HOOKED. Could NOT and would not play anything else until I had beaten it. And beating it once wasn't enough. My first PT was paragon so I immediately went back to the first one and did a renegade PT with different choices. I've never delved into a series so deeply in my life. Except for MAYBE Zelda. Maybe.

I did the same damn thing. I liked the immediate play through because it really brings out some of the tiny changes you would otherwise miss if you didn't do this.

Have you played the citadel dlc yet?

If you can get through the clunkiness of the gameplay in 1 it has a damn good story and 2 may be my favorite game of this whole console generation.

It's been a very long time since a FPS or TPS campaign has been enjoyable for me. I've tried... Halo, Gears, Resistance, Killzone, CoD, BF.... all terrible. Just too mind-numbing. Uncharted 2 was a lone exception (UC3 was not).

Games that force you to think a little, or give the player options to dictate the story, I'll play for a long time. No surprise that my favorite SP games this gen are New Vegas, Braid, LIMBO, and The Walking Dead.

The Witness is my most anticipated next-gen game until The Witcher 3 and The Division ship, as weird as that sounds.

It sounds like a lot of you guys need to research and buy games that you will like and then go in and purchase those you know you will like. I used to buy console games, but would never play them. I realized that I'd rent some of the same games over and over and those would be the games I knew I should buy.
