Keifer's is a joke. Everyone told me "oh if you like Greek food, you should go to Keifer's!" I get there, it's 99% gyros. I get a greek salad, and she asked me if I wanted ranch with that. I almost asked her if she was joking.

La Guadalupe is what Mr. iluv considers real mexican, and everything else is just "americanized mexican"

i love keifer's but yeah, it's not what i'd consider greek. i go with the blt gyro with feta dressing. cottage fries on the side.

I need to put this on the list.

I think Cool Al's burgers are excellent. Service is slow, the place is ugly and they have a shitty beer selection, but the burgers are among the best I've had.

I ran into someone the other day raving about Cool Al's. I need to try it out.

Wife said Keifer's has the best hummus she's ever had. I've never eaten there either though

A lot of people say that but I personally think their hummus overrated. Despite saying that we order it just about everytime

I think I am going to write letters to every greek, mediterranean and lebanese restaurant in BR and NOLA and beg them to please open a restaurant in Jackson.

sidenote: Lamar Restaurant is across from my office downtown and they finally got their sign fixed. It still looks pretty shitty and the whole place is in dire need of a makeover, but at least the sign lights up properly now.

Keifer's is a nice, casual spot downtown...it's a very good business...that's all I can give it.

Vines all-you-can-eat buffet in Centreville ('bout 5 miles north of the LA line on HW24) should be on there for some category.

Phoenicia Gourmet doesn't get any mention in the seafood category?! The Half Shell is good, but there are better places.

The Hook Up should've been on the best outdoor dining list.

Roux 61 is not mentioned, but laughing all the way to the bank.

Probably the hottest thing in Natchez.

Being in oxford disqualifies it from competing in a " best of" contest. They should move to Coldwater.

Maybe you could get Albasha. They had opened a location in Shreveport when I was in med school. Not sure if it's still open or not, but they were all about anything that could make them $$

I would join your letter writing campaign.

Can't say I was impressed the one time I ate at Kieffers.
