Best fried chicken should be the Old Country Store in Lorman.

I've been to the Half Shell and I thought it sucked. Damn near all of these are in places I have no will to visit. Oh well.

Mugshots? Seriously? The donut shop in Natchez makes a better burger.

Yeah I don't think they should be #1. I haven't found a burger better than babalu's although sometimes you just get into personal preferences.

The Honorable Mentions on the Best Seafood is what kills me. I'm ok with Half Shell, but I feel like all of the honorable mentions should go to places on the coast.

Mayflower Café-Jackson
Justin's on the Lake-SUmmit
Walker's Drive-in-Jackson
Crescent City Grill-Hattiesburg

I know! There was even a best burger in Jackson competition and Mugshots wasn't even top 5. I don't understand it.
Honorable Mentions:
Brian Michael's Burger Co.-Starkville
Burgers & Blues-Ridgeland
Doretha's-Summit
Majestic Burger-Ridgeland

Burgers & Blues is also cooked well done like Mugshots. I just don't get it.

Old Country Stoe should be in the fried chicken category, not catfish. Did they get a nod in there?

That place is awesome

The problem is it's located all the way down highway 12 away from campus

I like a bunch of those places, but I have a hard time believing they are the best of Mississippi.

I get the feeling like the rest of Mississippi doesn't claim the coast as part of their state. Bay St Louis may as well be Slidell East as far as their concerned. We do have a lot of dumbasses down here, but it does have some redeeming qualities.
