Harveston on Bluebonnet



I just read the article on Wampold in the Baton Rouge Business Report and it mentioned that his new development, Harveston, will be like nothing else seen in Baton Rouge. But the article really doesn't go into many specifics about the development. Is Harveston supposed to be a TND or something similar to River Ranch in Lafayette?

I drove through there today. I work for a few builders in there. I noticed a few things Wampold has done so far looks cheap. He's not done yet so I can't judge until he's finished. Knowing that guy, he'll pull through and make the development look great.

Only part of bluebonnet that had not been developed is the south end near hwy 30. That is the only spot I can think of.

It is supposed to have nature trails and local market I think. May be wrong on the local market.

It is past Springlake on the way to Nicholson.

I always thought it was somewhat bizarre all that land was undeveloped when I was at LSU 2003-2007.

I'm pretty sure he has all the land from Springlake to Nicholson on both sides of Bluebonnet Extension. The article mentioned residential mixed with some retail/commercial and possibly a school.

Then it's changed since the last time I heard about it, which was admittedly a long time ago. I have some current projects going with Wampold, I'll ask.
