what's going on in Pittsburgh? it appears redman is the clear starter now since they released dwyer. i'm thinking he may be just serviceable enough to stay put with my roster for the first week or two while I try to figure out the best long term solution for my rb2 spot

He def got a slight bump with Dwyer being released. It also tells me Bell is not nearly as injured as people thought

the release of dwyer has me hesitant. redman may be good enough to serve me a few weeks without having to give away a top player. i'm not big on giving you a top 5 positional talent for one of your bench RBs. if redman can be serviceable for a few weeks I may luck into an injury, promoting a waiver back or find something more suitable without having to break up my squad to much.

still contemplating though. not sure what I will do yet

Here's an update on the PIT situation

quote:

PIT - Three RBs expected to share time for now

Source: Steelers.com - Bob Labriola

Pittsburgh Steelers RBs Isaac Redman, Felix Jones and LaRod Stephens-Howling are expected to share playing time until RB Le'Veon Bell (foot) is able to recover from his foot injury.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Steelers backfield wasn't that robust for fantasy football last year, and with this group of players, it is likely to yield very little value, perhaps even after Le'Veon Bell returns. We wouldn't recommend starting, or maybe even rostering any of the trio listed above, except maybe Redman if you are truly desperate.

Not a big fan of his, but I guess this is good news.

Le'Veon Bell (foot) told reporters Monday he's aiming for a Week 2 return.
"I'm going to try to be back for Week 2, but I'm not making promises," were Bell's words. We'll take it. Initial fears had Bell out until October at the soonest, but there's now optimism he'll return at some point in September.

I have him as my 5th back in my 100 dollar league. If he comes back, will be good trade bait for me.

Coach Mike Tomlin suggested that Le'Veon Bell (foot) has been ruled out of Week 1 because of missed practice time, not his injury.
Tomlin continues to downplay the severity of Bell's injury every chance he gets. His comments from Tuesday suggest that once the second-round rookie gets a few practices under his belt, he'll quickly be back in the backfield mix. Tomlin even suggested Bell could get some limited work in as soon as this week. If Bell can sustain health, he'll be the Steelers' workhorse back sooner rather than later. Week 1 starter Isaac Redman is a replacement-level talent.

I wish I would've prepared better. I shoulda took someone like frank gore instead of peyton and grabbed Stafford later.

no point in even keeping brown on the roster and that fricking computer glitch fricked me out of getting at least a decent backup

excuses are for pussies though frick it I will still own this league
