It wouldn't be hard to argue he should be as high as number 3 on this list...
"6. Les Miles, LSU. While the Mad Hatter's diction and game management can be bewildering at times, his eight-year tenure in Baton Rouge has been nothing short of extraordinary. The Tigers have won at least 10 games in all but two seasons, going 47-17 in SEC play, and reached two BCS championship games, winning one (2007). Miles' program is a fixture near the top of the annual recruiting rankings and churns out a virtual assembly line of prized NFL prospects."

Not a bad summary really. Good for recruits to read as well.

So Saban number one then who?

About half will be pissed that he is that high...
about another half will be pissed that he is not higher.

Urban Meyer. I hate the guy with a passion and think he's a classless, ego maniac...but it's hard to argue with his results. He gets the job done (even though people conveniently forget he left Florida in shambles by their standards).

Wont argue with the list. 3,4,5 and 6 are all really close in my book. They could go either way.

I could see les at 3/4 easily. Charlie Weis is by far the worst there is

Miles should be #3. Briles in the top 10? Um, no.

Gary Patterson at number 4? Hello says Les Miles on 8/31.

Finally the world of reality wakes up! 6th best at your profession aint bad. He is finally getting a little love and respect. Im sure there will be plenty on here that will disagree and say hes not even in the Top 30.
And if u do disagree vehemently and say he's an idiot or some other negative smart arse remark; Then be man enough to suggest who u would replace Les with. Lots of criticism, but never a suggestion has gotten old. Also only suggest someone that would actually get offered and actually accept. That leaves Saban out both ways.

I do remember quite vividly that Kirk Ferentz was on just about everybody's top 5 wishlist to replace Saban. Looks like he's now made it to the top 5... For worst coaches list

love les!
always have, always will.
I cannot get over the pain of the 90's. I love dinardo magic, sorry it didn't last, but it gave me hope. it was not any coach ever, but to have les be the winningest ever! is fantastic.

How is that possible? Mandel must not read the Rant.

What Bill Snyder has done is remarkable. I have no problem with him above Miles.
Sumlin should be in the maybe in three years group. His Houston team sucked when Case Keenum wasn't there. They went 5-7 in 2010?.
LSU still had winning records playing in the SEC under Miles after Perrilloux forced JJ/JL to play right away.

I thought it a pretty good list though I would have put Spurrier in and dropped Petrino. Also try to find a place for Richt. But a pretty good list.
