It's always a battle to bath this dog but tonight it really escalated. He went full attack mode when I tried to get him in the tub. He never acts aggressively otherwise though. I want to shoot him but just at the mention of it my kids burst into tears. What should I do?

Water hose him in the back yard.

Eta: I only recommend this if you want to buy new water hoses every few months

My dog gives me the worst look ever when I pick his big arse up and put him in the bath. He prob wants to bite my arse but he is keenly aware that I am master and commander and will end his arse if I fell so. His scowl is pretty priceless though, laughing just thinking about it.

Yea beating will help. My lab has gotten aggressive out of nowhere about a year ago, never to me but to little kids and random people. It sucks, was close to taking him out back but he seems to have taken a turn for the better.

He probably associates the tub with one of those things...

You have to establish your dominance. Grab him by the scruff of the neck and throw him down and get on top of him and shake the fool out of him.

ETA the last part

I was/am confident that he knows I'm alpha. In every other aspect of day to day life he submits willingly with merely a stern tone. I just dont know what it is about that bath tub. I haven't tried to drown him or anything. I've had plenty of dogs that didn't like baths, but never get hyper aggressive over trying to take one. He's locked outside right now. He may stay there from now on. I'm just worried that he might do something stupid to hurt one of the kids. He doesn't act aggressively with them no matter how rough they play with him though. I'm just out of ideas.

I have a one year old curr. Same thing when it comes to clipping toenails. If he snips wife or kids one more time I will put his arse down. That would be third time.

She talked me out of doing it right then. The kids were upset and I was beyond pissed off. She said I should think about it.
