so, I will be going to Houston during the week of the Auburn game and I see that it's about a four hour trek to Baton Rouge. I have a few questions:

1) What is the best way to get a ticket and hopefully it's possible?

2) What is the best way to obtain lodging?

3) Is there some kind of tigerdroppings tailgate?

Thanks for any responses.

Try ticket exchange to the left.

1) There will be tickets available. Ticket exchange tab to the left or if you walk around campus, people will have extras. They might give you one for free

2) Baton Rouge is a decent size metro and hotels will be available. Not the closest near campus however. Check College Drive area around I10 or downtown.

3) I wish, however people will be tailgating everywhere around campus. Just walk up to a tailgate and tell them you're a Oregon fan visiting for the game. They will give you food/drinks. Most everyone will be very welcoming.

Damn, I wish. Went to one in 2006 for Fresno State (my dad was a poster back then) and had a pretty good time.

Was this under some big oak trees between some buildings not far from TS?

Brilliant idea.

Check things like stubhub and ticketmaster the day before the game.

Lodging shouldn't be an issue. Try the Staybridge on Nicholson or Renaissance on Bluebonnet.

the most difficult of all that you are inquiring about will be a hotel room...be careful, or you can get stuck with a real shithole in a bad part of town...I would start trying to book now...

ticket exchange is a good idea or like some one posted you may be able to get one around the stadium...I remember a few years ago when auburn was legit ,there were two au fans that were sitting in front of us that paid $500.00 a ticket....but you wont have that problem....oh and tailgating wont be an issue.....just walk up to any tailgate and enjoy.....

It's our SEC opener and if we beat TCU convincingly, it will be a tough ticket. As long as you show up early, you will be able to get a ticket at the stadium.

(Ponchy being a tad sarcastic. Quote above describes approximately 75% of the outdoor areas at LSU.)

Get a room at the staybridge on Nicholson. That way you'll be able to walk to your hotel room straight from bogies come 2am.

In order to avoid stressing over getting there, and not having a ticket, I would StubHub in advance.

It shouldn't be too hard to find a room in BR if you start looking now... nice ones at the new casino: L'auberge Baton Rouge. Or, if you need to get back to Houston anyway, stay in Lafayette.

Send me a message, and you'll be welcome at our tailgate. We're in Lot A, or Lot F, depending on the weekend. They are both very close to the stadium.

Welcome back! Almost forgot about you!

1. You can show up and get a ticket. Where the seats are is another matter but you can get tickets. The hardest part will be to get a bunch together (not sure how many are in your group).

2. Not sure about the lodging, try stuff near Walk Ons, you should be able to find something decent.

3. Not sure about a TD tailgate but you'll see tailgates every where. You can come by ours if you want!
