• A group of pelicans is called a Squadron
• Can live 25+ years
• They breed in groups called colonies
• Fossils date back to 40 million years ago
• They attack Jester

Pelicans skeleton is 1/10 of body weight (which can be up to 30 lbs).

Adult pelicans grunt when at the colony, but are generally silent elsewhere or outside breeding season.[30][60][61][62] Conversely, colonies are noisy as chicks vocalise extensively.


So the dude pelicans are laid back, but their chicks never shut the hell up...

- Pelicans inhabit every continent except Antarctica

- Pelican bills are actually able to sense creatures underwater

- When pelicans are courting, they open and close their bills to make their gular sacks ripple, strut around, and toss sticks and dried fish up into the air.

Pelican is a giant bird, which has a wingspan of five meters, so that they are able to fly up to an altitude of 3000 meters.

Pelicans are hypercarnivores

Louisiana population was nearly wiped out in 1970s due to DDT.
