In a related, but unscientific opinion. I also think you/your body knows the culprit. Usually between waves of agony, you can think back over what you ate and when you hit on the guilty food...you tend to recoil in disgust. Again, not scientific by any means...just opinion.

Yeah, Im sick of this 12 hour bullshite professed around here. I can see 12 hours for a virus to take root in your body, but 12 hours for bad food to make you feel like shite? LOL what a load of horse shite. Eat a load of horse shite and see if it takes you 12 hours to feel bad.

It CAN take 12 to 24 hours, obviously if you eat some rancid, half-rotting piece of road kill it's gonna come up faster than a tax deadline.

I consumed bad mayonnaise, we didn't know the refrigerator had failed and turned into a big petri dish. I had another meal of wild game, then I got sick, no one else who ate the wild game got sick. I blamed it on the pheasant until we discovered the dead refrigerator.

It was over 12 hours between consumption and barfing. The point is we always assume it was the last thing we ate, that is often not the case, but it can be.

I just ask people to be careful about saying a particular restaurant served tainted food, you can damage a reputation wrongly. I got miserable from eating at the late Taco y Burrito Express on Sherwood, it tasted funny going down and felt bad within hours, not a bad case, but I was convinced where it came from.

I ate at Taco Boudreauxs awhile back i had to say it was very lackluster but i wanted to give them another try since a guy i went to school with works there...

And i can attest to the 12 hour BS with food poisoning... Back in early April i had a late BBQ at the house... chicken, ribs, hamburgers, & pork chops... invited the family over and friends... started eating around 7ish and finished my last plate around 10ish... 2 hours later i try to go to sleep and i get a massive headache and my body starts burning up.... i take all my clothes off because im hot and my body starts shivering like im cold... teeth rattling and everything... next thing i know i sprint to the bathroom and puke for 10 minutes straight... had to go to lake after hours on perkins that morning... talked to everybody who came and ate the next day and they were fine though...

To clarify, the staff was great. Very friendly & attentive. We hadn't eaten a meal together the entire day & both got sick roughly 4 hours after eating there. Pretty sure of the cause.

Here's the deal, folks. Food poisoning caused by the consumption of bacteria takes 8-24 hours to hit.

Food poisoning caused by the consumption of toxins produced by bacteria can manifest almost immediately.

I suspect, but have no way of confirming, that these people consumed food from this Boudreauxs place that had been contaminated by a toxin.

So went home for thanksgiving and saw this place was still in business. Any change in quality? Figured they would have shut down by now.

I can promise you if you are lucky enough to know someone that will write you a script for phenergan butt bullets and use one you will sleep well and those waves of nausea will go away.

Keep them refrigerated and they will last for quite sometime.
