For those celebrating the Lakers ill-fortune: The Lakers will be OK. They are the freaking LA Lakers - no one player dooms their franchise. They have a clean slate in 2014 and a crafty GM. The rumors of the Lakers demise have been greatly exaggerated. They are the Lannisters of the NBA.

They'll look like the Starks in the short term though. That 2013 opening night lineup is gonna be disgusting.
