We all know how great Dirk is but we also know time is really running out on him. Cuban tried the Chris Paul/Howard sweepstakes and came up empty with resorting to a lineup of Collison/Mayo/Marion/Dirk/Kaman.

If they miss Dwight, it appears they will strike out again, leaving one maybe two more years for Dirk

-Paul stays in Los Angeles
-Jennings staying in Milwaukee
-Jefferson signs with Charlotte
-Tyreke to Pelicans
-Iggy to Golden State
-J.R. to New York
-Mayo to Milwaukee
And if Dwight goes to Houston, Josh Smith likely follows.

That leaves Monta Ellis and a bunch of mid free agents.

Here's to you Cuban

That whole franchise quit after 2011. I wouldn't go anywhere near it at this point. They are old and not doing a lot to get better.

He's not a businessman, he's a business, man.

Cuban knows what's up.

I'm a mavs fan and I do feel sorry for Dirk. I was cool with letting chandler and crew go, but it's starting look like cuban has no plan and is just going to keep building 1 year teams till dirk is gone and hope to hit the lotto. Oh, and do not want monta, he's a undersized inefficient scorer.

How can you say hes screwing the Mavs over?

Its not like he hasn't tried. Hes gone after Paul, DWill, and Howard in the past 2 seasons.

Same can be said about the Lakers and Kobe.

Cuban is committed to winning as everyone else if not more IMO. He hasn't been able to land a marque player, but I don't doubt for a second he's tried real hard.

Anyhow, why the heck would be try to screw himself over? That makes no sense.

Well Shark Tank filming did get in the way of his DWill pitch.

They have like $2m in salary on the books for next season. They are basically going to sign Lebron, Wade and Bosh.

After the championship, he screwed Dirk over by not re-signing Chandler. They had spent an eternity trying to find someone with his size and skills, and when they finally had him, and won a championship with him, they let him go. Dumb and Greedy. The rest of the players they let go could have been replaced, but that was the piece they should have kept. And now we're back to the same problem.

Meh, didn't think he would come. Plus he probably would have ran carlisle off since he would've demanded some type of accountability from him. Cuban is going after big targerts, I'll give him that. The problem is he has no secondary plan for building value after he fails. Would be nice to at least stock some picks or projects. Okc has pj3 and we have beaubois......

I agree and Dallas was the better situation for him especially being from there.
