9 3 & outs is just sad. It really boils my blood that the LSU offense made clemson defense look like the steel curtain..

I posted it then and will again now. Losing all those guys sells this team. Doesn't hurt it. It is yet another example of LSU fans bending anything to go against Les Miles.
If you had any idea what the athletes and their families want you would get it. They love their school - but its more about their life. They want to get in the show - and do it as fast as possible. See other teams being caught funneling $$ to parents etc....
The chance to go to school, play as soph and go pro as a junior??
That is the BEST selling job out there. And LSU Miles haters say - these kids hate Miles.
Lord.

NO

What LSU needs is a serviceable QB that will opt to return for his senior season (a la Andrew Luck) and convince some of the others to hang around 1 extra year to reach the pinnacle. LSU will remain successful, but that kind of team every now and then plays for championships.

Let's define dominant first.

Too many guys declare early = the ship is sinking
Not enough guys declare = Miles can't develop talent

If Dominant includes more than 1 team we are Dominant.

Since when is a 5 year stretch consisting of seasons of
5 losses, 4 losses, 2 losses, 1 loss & 3 losses considered dominant?

I don't think you can stay dominant and not lose guys to the NFL early.

Sshhh... Let him have his moment. Saban reloads every year, miles loses his players without replacement.

Coach Miles has stated they recruit guys that can play out the gate, and 3 years will be fairly normal. The staff seems confident in this, so sure, why not.

Wonder why bower and Herron came to LSU? Because mingo and Montgomery were successful in this system to have the opportunity to leave early, and mainly bc they were leaving early. We could have kept mingo and Montgomery for another year and then not had bower/Herron for the next 3 if you'd rather. We sign almost 25 consistently, we need attrition. And this attrition makes room for more good players to keep rolling in.

Boise St 5 losses
Alabama 7 losses
Oregon 10 losses
TCU 11 losses
Ohio St 13 losses
LSU 15 losses
Florida 15 losses
Oklahoma 15 losses
8 teams total with a 10+ win average since 08. LSU is tied for sixth with three others. Could you look at those 3 and say that they aren't usually dominant in their division or whole conference?
I guess you could say dominant are the top 4 but the 4 below them put just as much talent into the league.

Honestly, I think LSU can remain a dominant, respectable team if both the recruiting remains in the top 10 and if Chavis remains on the staff. Chavis and the other trainers are obviously coaching the defense very well, which we all know can win many games. If there's a capable quarterback in the mix, I see no reason that LSU all of a sudden becomes Auburn.

Hell yes it can.
We do that every year we're golden.

Thats something i jus do not understand...Saban can keep most of his players maybe losing a few jrs to the draft and keep most of all his dominant players and be dominant year in and year out... i just do not know why we arent able to keep them another year.
Saban probably threatens guys that are not first rounders. If they think Saban will blackball them, they aint leavin.
