The pelicans look like they are building a team to run up and down the court and Oden is definitely not a candidate to do that.

Apparently Golden State is looking to trade Andrew Bogut, Andris Biedrins and Richard Jefferson to make cap space to sign Dwight Howard.

Could we use this to pull off a three team trade? Maybe something like Rivers to Golden State, Bogut & Jefferson to Portland and Meyers Leonard to New Orleans?
Just thinking out loud.

Portland can't take on that kind of salary.

would be a step backward for Golden State, IMO.

Just got firm word that Cavs -- after signing Andrew Bynum -- are no longer pursuing Greg Oden. Mavs now IN Oden race led by Spurs & Heat

Unless Dallas is offering a substantial amount of more money (or more guaranteed), why in the hell would you not go to the Heat or SA if you're Oden?

The Mavs currently don't have a center under contract. They are trying to get Dalembert, and they could easily bring back Wright, but Elton Brand has been checking other teams. Dallas might end up giving him the most opportunity to play if he's actually ready.

You gotta imagine, if healthy, he'd get pretty comparable minutes with the Heat, even with the small ball line up they run.

if healthy

I still am very dubious of this. If he was clearly healthy it seems like he'd have signed with someone by now. There's obviously still a lot of risk involved if it's taking this long to sign a healthy difference making center on the cheap.
