This is not LSU's doing. Pot is on the NCAA's list of prohibited substances list. LSU couldn't have looked the other way even if it wanted to. To have done anything other than what they did would have risked forfeiting every game that he ever played in.

Oh...and he isn't "just like every other student". Playing football at LSU is a privilege. In order to enjoy that privilege, one must play by the rules...rules that are largely set by the NCAA. It was he who selfishly put LSU into a bad situation.

I'm a big fan of TM but he fricked up. He even admitted it himself.

College athletes aren't "normal college students". They're representatives of the school. The get special treatment and privileges. They are expected to act a certain way. The rules are in place for a reason. He didn't get kicked off for his first, second and third offense. He was not mistreated. He was given multiple chances.

I'm pulling for him like I do all tigers. Hope he has his shite together. Geaux TM.

I agree with you. They let rapists and people who have committed violent assaults play but they kicked Tryann off for smoking weed which doesn't hurt ANYONE! It is such a joke.

Again...what was LSU supposed to do? Were they supposed to look the other way while one of their players repeatedly broke the NCAA's substance abuse policy? Were they supposed to risk sanctions and even forfeit games just because some people think it's a stupid law/rule? The rules are the rules...

Hey tigafan89......my child's 1st year at LSU, I was all in at close to $36k. Having a scholarship would be an honor. Some kids these days just don't get it.
