Never heard of this, being told it is a 5yr loan with interest, but string the payments over 1 or 2 more years non interest to get payment down. Is this legit? I'm told it is common after Katrina.

Anyone validate this? Thanks

Yeah, you can increase the term of the loan, interest compounds, therefore makes the lender more money the longer the term of the loan. You get fricked though, because the car doesn't get less expensive (in fact it gets significantly more expensive), you just have a lower monthly payment. STUPID STUPID STUPID, DON'T DO THIS.
