First of all he is and has been arguably the top punter in the NFLsince his rookie year.

2nd and most important is that he truly seems to love the city back. He shows up at basically every festival, seems to do tons of charity work, and goes above and beyond to let the fans know how much he appreciates them.

Morestead for mayor in 2022!

His position is something fans don't truly appreciate enough. The game has evolved to kicking being so vital. Nice thread

Which is why I'd like to see placekicking banned and dropkicking brought back

He is a weapon on D/STs. His ability to switch field position and pin teams inside 20 is extremely important. Heck it was one of the most underestimated parts of our SB run.

He came to our balcony party during Mardi Gras. Got to talk to him for a little bit and just a great guy to hang out with.

END of cool story

If your 'with' Kafka then you can't really be with Kafka.

Dude, how old are you?

I like Morestead. I have seen him plenty in the community. He is a great guy. However, your favorite? Come on bro. Archie, Rickey, Brees, Swilling, Roaf, Morestead is your favorite? To each his own, but he has been with us what 4 years?

If he's your favorite, you should definitely learn how to spell his last name.

All punters should be like him. They aren't true football players, so they should be made to at least represent the team at public and charity events so they can earn their paycheck. He will end up with a very nice job after football due to him always being out in the public representing the team in a stand up manner.

Yea, the guy that uses his foot isn't a true football player.

quote:

The first football game was played on November 6, 1869 between Rutgers and Princeton. The game was played between two teams of 25 players each, used a round ball, and resembled a combination of rugby and soccer in its rules. The ball could not be picked up or carried, but it could be kicked or batted with the feet, hands, head or sides.

I mean, it's not like using your feet was part of the original rules of the game or anything.
