A team like Memphis won't want to be chasing around Holiday, EG, and Reke all night in the backcourt.

i dunno. they are pretty stout in terms of perimeter defense. i think they could be our kryptonite

I think this might work. We don't need him to provide offense anymore. He is athletic enough to be a lockdown defender and is a pretty good rebounder as it is?

San Antonio worked their arse with their passing and quickness.

I really do think having Holiday, Gordon and Evans on the court at the same time creates serious problems for defenses. Especially if Ryno and Davis are down low.

Ok call me crazy but what about Ryan Anderson in some of our lineups being the "3"

I know we talked about this last offseason and I know Ryno is strictly speaking not a SF BUT with guys like Tyreke, Jrue, and EG we need shooters to hang out on the perimeter for when one of those 3 break down the defense

And I am sure he could guard a few SF in the league or just switch and guard the other teams 4 on defense

i love the 2 major moves

i love all the moves made the past 13 months or so. vazquez/lopez were reasonable (and became assets). rybot was a great acquisition

you know i love jrue, and i postulated us going after evans in april. 3 driver-ballhandlers and jrue's perimeter D should be transofrmational

I dont recall this team having more than 1 guy on the court that can handle the ball with any effectiveness in a long time.

Now they have like 4 or 5 who wont look like mongoloids with the ball in their hand.

also if we're assuming evans comes off the bench, that's huge. when was teh last time we had a bench scorer?

that was our biggest problem in the cp3/chandler era

He also gets to the rim and the foul line. No longer should team be one of the worst in the NBA in FTA per game.

yeah

Its always been a problem....as soon as the primary ball handler came out, the air came out of the ball.

we are going to have a vastly improved team, but in no way are we close to having a complete roster to compete for a title
who the frick said non sarcastically that we are going to win a title this year? I don't think I've seen anyone make that claim not out of jest

the way people are addressing our 3/5 issues makes it seem that way. if we're not winning a title, it doesn't really matter at this point

If we can scoop up a guy like Dalembert than losing Lopez would be a wash IMO. It just sucks that we have to send Lopez packing for basically an identical contract.

As far as title contention, that will fall on the shoulders of AD. He needs to turn into a top 5 player in the league. He has the potential but he is still a few yrs away.
