Agree. Please don't take this post in a negative way. He is an awesome OC and that's why it won't be long before NFL comes calling.

He will leave LSU football in a much better state.

I thought I remember reading he wanted to stay for awhile. I guess if the NFL came calling, though, it would be hard to keep him.

Why do you hope that you are wrong if you think that he is a great OC and will be gone to the NFL in two years? Because if you are right then that means that he is terrible and will stay at LSU longer or are you hoping that he is real good but chooses not to go back to the NFL when called?

I'm so confused by reading the rant!

He has 2 boys at Catholic going into 9th and 10th grade I believe. Hopefully, he will stay until they graduate giving him 4 good years here.

Ever thought maybe he has had enough of the NFL and wants to be at the college level? I am sure he does not want to be OC for any long period of time and would maybe like to be a HC at this level. Then again you never know. Some guys like doing the coordinator thing.

He can make a pretty damn good living as OC at LSU and may stick around. I agree though can we get through this year, hell we might want to run him off after this year, who knows

If that's the case, then he's done something great to warrant being given another job.

For fricks sake, enjoy the moment.

he's made plenty of money and is making plenty at LSU. he's at an age where if he enjoys what he's doing with the Tigers he could retire here. no need for speculation at this point.

I know it's slow - looking for something to talk about.

If just one of those seasons Cam can field an offense that is on the same level as 2001 or 2007, I'd be perfectly fine with that.

Naw, this is dumb.

Cameron is not unlike Chief. An older coach and a true veteran of his profession who has pretty much reached the arc of his coaching career. Where is he going to go from here? No one realistically views either one as a dynamic up and coming potential head coach at a big program, and no one can really pay them more than LSU as coordinators. The options may be HC of a smaller college or another crack in the NFL as an OC. Or he could comfortably stay at LSU and make over a million a year. He's 52 years old, it's not like he wants to move around a bunch and climb the coaching ladder at this point. I think he stays here as long as he is successful and happy here.
