Caught the DDD episode that claimed putting tomato sauce in jambalaya was some big twist that made OCP's jambalaya special. Anyone had it? Looked like pretty normal New Orleans jambalaya to me.

I saw that episode last night also. Jamba looked awful. Something else he made looked good, but I can't recall what else he made.

I liked the chicken pie in puff pastry from the Standard Tap in PA.

No, it wasn't the muffins. Maybe it was another restaurant on the same episode.

It was the green bean casserole from scratch made with fresh green beans and mushrooms. The video is online.

Yea I saw that episode too Gris, they had a couple things on there that looked good. But not that Jambalaya, which is funny because we went to a get together this weekend and someone was cooking a "red Jambalaya" and me and a friend who cook a good bit tried to tell everyone that tomatoes do not belong in there. No one listened, no one really liked the dish..... oh well

The color of the jamba on the show looked extraordinarily red, almost like color had been added. Served in 3 ice scream scoops on the plate. Not to appealing to my eye.

I think that's how Felix's does their jam.

Well after seeing my friends this weekend and also how much tomato sauce the guy on the show put, he might not have added color. Rice just soaked it all up, either way not my ideal jambalaya by no means. Mine is very similar to the Gonzales one that has been posted on here.
