If Ego Ferguson steps up this LSU team will be better than last year.

Freak will have a huge year, and we know what Rasco can do. If Ego steps up to help anchor the middle then our Defensive Line won't lose a step. That's honestly the only position group I'm concerned about next year.

Could be the difference between 9-3 and 11-1.

we need to LBers to grow up and someone step up as a leader of the front 7 like Minter was. Thats more important than Ego. Ego will be fine, if he doenst "break out" he will still be servicable

Not talking trash about the LB's growing up, just saying there is a lot of young talent

im not worried at all ab the dline. we have to get better play from the qb and wrs.

I think the dline will be the least of our worries after seeing some of them. they are all physical freaks. If the ciaches cant find an sec caliber rotation out of the guys on campus, we need new coaches.

I definitely think Barrow can be that guy. He quietly had a really good season last year, and I expect him to fill Minter's shoes adequately.

I loved what I saw from Kwon last year, he just has to stay healthy. And if Debo adds weight he will be great too.

I'm kind of meh on Tahj though, he disappears too much for my liking

I daresay. He was suspended most of the year.

tahj played in one game, so thats why he dissappeared. Kwon played what? 4 games?

barrow went from 13 tackles to 100+ in one season. we have a damn string coach coaching linebackers, and the most talent at that position weve had in a long time, maybe ever.

Just imagine if we could start picking up 5* caliber LBs.

I know this is a well established stat, but it still amazes me how many tackles he made. I never thought he had a bad year, but it never seemed like he was in on THAT MANY plays last year.

The success of the team this year will not depends on ego. Him having a big year will help though

The starting 11 will be pretty good. The bigger difference between this year's defense and past defenses experienced depth. There is a lot of young, unproven talent but until they get on the field and actually do it you never know what you're going to get. You may have a Michael Brockers waiting in the wings. On the other hand, you may have a five star recruit who never sees the field (See Chris Davenport).

Ego has been extremely underwhelming so far at LSU.

Look who he has had in front of him, names like Brockers and Logan. From what I heard from spring drills he looks legit.

Yep. The defense is completely proven and dominant as long as Ego pans out. Everyone else has tons of experience.
