i don't understand it.

Tyson Chandler 7'1 240
Larry Sanders 6'11 235
Lamarcus Aldridge 6'11 240
Chris Bosh 6'11 235
Al Horford 6'10 250

it's not like he's guarding Shaq, Hakeem and Patrick Ewing. This is as simple as "Hey Brow. You're gonna be 5 now. Go hit the weight room and come back at 240. My guess is he's probably closer to there already."

Because he got hurt some last year and they think he'll break down and continue to be 180 pounds for the rest of his adult life.

This. It has nothing to do with 'hating' him as center it's just he isn't physically prepared for it yet.

Clearly.

Duncan played at closer to 235 this season.

Everyone needs to chill the frick out. Davis is 5 in today's NBA.

Because he'll have other 5's that outweigh him by at least 50 lbs backing him down and scoring at will on him.

Because being asked to guard bigger players for 35 mpg will wear him down. It also takes away from his versatility by planting him under the goal.

It's not about hating him at center. It's about him being arguably the best PF to enter the league since Tim Duncan. Let him play where his skills are most suited, PF.

I wouldn't mind him there if he can put on a good 10 or 15 pounds this offseason. But that may be asking too much. Besides, I could see him playing there for a few years, and then we could draft a center (later in the first round because we'd be awesome by then) and get a Tiago Splitter type of player and move AD back to the 4.

the two best PFs (KG and Duncan) to enter the league with that skill set, now play C. The last one (Bosh) also plays C.

the new version of C is a PF.

the new version of PF shoots 3s.
GET WITH IT.

I just think his game is more suited for a PF. He's too athletic

Out of curiosity, how much of his time was played at the 5?

if you look at his position on the floor, most of it.
Duncan has actually been a C (on Offense) by basketball play standards for most of his career.

And in almost all of his biggest matchups in the playoffs, he guarded the other team's C.

How'd that work out vs the Pacers? And Horford is 250. Enough said.

He's not big enough to play the 5. He's hardly heavy enough to play the NBA 4.

He's a more natural fit at 4. Let him move around and roam on that baseline a little bit. Catch the ball facing the basket, etc
