Just ordered the book to see what some of his techniques are to change things up a bit here.

If anyone has read his book, I was wondering if it is worthwhile.

It's a fantastic book, I've used many of his techniques/recipes. It's a must own for any BBQ enthusiast.

Another good one is "Slow Fire" by Ray Lampe...

If you are new to BBQ then Slow Fire is actually the better book. Simple recipes, lots of pics and very practical "how-to" type information.

Kirk's recipes are a bit more involved and would be what I would consider for more seasoned BBQ guys/gals. In any event, darn good good and I've wore my copy out over the years.
